Bora Isik

Bora Isik was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on 6 December 1970. He studied law at the University of Amsterdam, specialising in International Relations and European Politics.

Between 1998-2002 Bora Isik served as a City Councilor for the Liberal Party in Geuzenveld / Slotermeer in Amsterdam. After the local elections of 2002 Bora Isik became a City Councilor for the Amsterdam City Council. He is currently the spokesman for Sports and Leisure, Environment, Public Services, Schiphol Airport and Ports of Amsterdam.

Since 1991 Bora Isik has been nominated to be a Liaison Officer during international sporting events held in the Netherlands for several Sports Associations and Federations. These such events include: Dutch Football Association (KNVB), Dutch Basketball Association (NBB), Turkish Football Association (TFF), Turkish Basketball Association (TBF), Galatasaray SK Istanbul, International Sports Consultancy and EURO2000 Accommodation Agency.

His duties included organising training camps for International teams, arranging their hotel accommodations, providing interpreting services and communications between the Dutch Associations and the International teams.  He also provided guidance on transport (such as transfers from hotels to venues, to airports etc), security, stewarding services and any ad-hoc last minute errands.
